Party seal

Here's another card I created today:

The sketch used was from the Avery Elle Challenge

The colors were taken from the Craft Dash Challenge, over at Pretty Pink Posh - oh, and the card just made it for the entry! It took 9 min. 49 secs to make the card:)

And, the little seal was layered onto the vellum 'tag.' I am also entering this card into the Lawnscaping challenge:

PS Cool Shades

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I wish I could create and post some of the challenges up earlier, but currently I'm struggling with finding time during the week. Hopefully that will change soon.

Anyway, here's the card I made for the Paper Smooches Cool Shades challenge

The watercolor you see is actually on vellum. I used distress inks (Lemonade and Peacock Feathers) and allowed them to blend to form that green color in the center. The photo doesn't pick up on how gorgeous it looks against the white!

Here were the colors that were used for the challenge:

Travel & flowers

Tada! Today's been a productive day - created two more card:)

This one was inspired by a friend who posted a travel photo. Unfortunately, I was unable to upload the photo to share with you guys. But, here's the end result:

I just love this card. I love the watercolor effect on the globe and the light, antique look on the card base. I'm entering this card into the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. This week's challenge calls for travel related cards. Hence, the globe:)

This second card isn't quite my style but I think it turned quite pretty. I created it for the Monday Mood Board for the WPlus9 challenge. Here's the inspiration photo:

And here's the card that I created:

I love how the "thank you" sentiment fades out:) I'm also entering it into the Cloud 9 challenge.

Hello Sunshine

Hope you all have had a good weekend. I can't believe it got over so fast! I need a couple more days!!!

Anyway, this is very last minute, but considering how hectic this weekend is, at least I'm in time to post this card. I made it for the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge but am also entering it into the the Hero Arts challenge and the Flutter by Wednesdays challenge.

Flutter By Wednesday's

And here's the card:

I used some patterned paper with butterflies as the base. I then inked up some cardstock so it matched the yellow butterflies and stamped some "flutter" lines on it. I cut some vellum so it made a tag shape, added a punched circle and added some twine to it. - et voila! I created a tag on which I embossed a Paper Smooches sentiment in black. Doesn't it look bold and amazing? Lastly, I printed the sun stamp onto some yellow patterned paper, cut it out and placed it on the card. TADA!!!

Two cards to share

This is going to be a very short post: I'm sharing two cards today.

I'm entering the first one over at the Lawnscaping Challenge as well as the Addicted to CAS challenge. I cut out the clouds, glued them on temporarily, water-colored the background in blue and voila! The yellow circle is shaded with a yellow pencil.

Here's the second one:

I love the colors on this one. This one I'm entering into the CAS on Sunday challenge, Addicted to CAS as well as Cas-ual Fridays challenge

Congratulations in gold

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I wanted this post to go up earlier but we've been having internet issues. Paper Smooches Trend Watch had an amazing theme for their challenge this week - GOLD! The first thing I think of when I think of the color gold is BLING and I didn't want to make a card that was bling. After thinking and seeing the inspiration pictures, I thought I'd make something in gold, white and red. Here's the result:

I just love the way the colors come together, don't you? I love the gold hexagon panel against the red hearts and the red hearts against the gold panel. Oh, I added Glossy Accents to the hearts but you can't really see them in the photo, so I tried to capture that by taking a sideways photo. Hope you can see the glossiness here:

With Sympathy

Hey everyone,

Here's a card I made for the 10 Minute Craft Dash:

The challenge was to use the three colors to make a project. As soon as I saw the blue and red, the first thing that poped into my head was the sky background washi tape with hearts. I die cut a bird and added glitter to it. I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment.

Oh, I almost forgot. Here's the time it took to finish the card:

Hope you enjoyed.

Wooooo hooooo!

Woooooo hooooo! Yippeeeeee! Yayyyyy!!!!!

I can't tell you guys how exciting this is. I got selected - well, more like my card got selected - for the Paper Smooches May Picture Perfect. You can't really see right now but I'm doing the happy dance:)

Here's the card, in case you missed it:

Oh, and I would like to thank my brother for taking the photo and to the Paper Smooches team. (LOL - I've just been wanting to say that.) And...and...and you have to check out Savannah's blog. Her cards (and other projects) are absolutely adorable and inspirational.
